Gratitude

Thanks to Tonya for getting me going on this orphan block quilt!  And to her Word Play book for the letters.  The Liberated Log Cabin blocks are from my first class with Gwen Marston, and the applique block is from a class with Gwen this spring.  The quilt measures 51 x 51".

Somehow you have taken disparate parts and put them together like it was "meant to be". Love it!

I LOVE what you have done with this orphan block! No time to jump on the "liberated" band wagon right now, but you surely have tempted me to do so!

I love everything about this piece. The plaid in the inner border, the spool blocks, the little piece of polka dot fabric, the word, WOW! Congrats on a fabulous finish. Are you going to hand quilt this?

This is fantastic! I love the spark of the plaid and the print in the word amidst all the solids. How cool that it all went together so beautifully. Very fun! And isn't it fun to work together with a friend? Priceless.

What a wonderfully free and cheerful quilt you've made. I'm also a big fan of Gwen Marston and only dream of attending her workshop :); her books are among my favorites.
Your center block will inspire me to make an applique folk art style block, free style of course. Thanks for sharing your quilt.
