Small Things

A few little finishes before I go on a 4-day quilting retreat.

"Study in Pink" is done.  It will hang in the bathroom with our beloved pink toilet from the 1960's.

I made this pillow for a special little girl's birthday and sent it off.

The kitties come from a pillow case my grandmother made when I was a little girl.

And I planted pots of red geraniums with chartreuse sweet potato vines.  I love this combination.
It reminds me of a quilt I'm about to work on with the same color combo.

'Tis the season for quilting retreats.  I hope you've got one too, even if it's a one-person retreat at home!

I love your study in pink, the quilting has added highlights and texture in such a beautiful way. The kitten cushion is so amazing, it really makes you take a second look. It's so lovely seeing springy garden photos, love your combo. Sweet potato vines haven't really taken off here in Australia. I remember seeing them everywhere when I was in the US a few years ago. Have fun at your retreat. It really is the season..

I have a "mini-retreat" in a couple of weeks...just a bunch of quilters in a church basement for 24 hours with their sewing machines and lots of food delivery menus....

Love the quilting on your Study in Pink, great finish. I can't wait to get to quilting my little one from my 2 day workshop with Gwen, wish it had been longer. :-( Now it's back to work so Ican pay for a 4 day retreat w/Gwen next year!
Have fun, can't wait to see what you create while away!

Oh, what fun to see Study in Pink all quilted and done! It was so fun to sit next to you and watch this one happen. I agree, let's see it in place with the pink toilet!

Have fun on your 4-day retreat! I'm retreating at home all by myself while DH is on a business trip. Hopefully I can get lots done.

I adore the little pink quilt! It will look fab near your pink toilet -- a house I lived in in college had pink porceline in the bathroom.
Have a terrific time at retreat!

The stitching looks great on both the kitten and mini quilt. Would like to see pink with the loo! As for retreats - another one? You are the luckiest.
