Tea and New Studio

This weekend I hosted a tea for Victoria.

Of course, the occasion called for new tea cozies made from Ikea fabric.

We were celebrating her new book and her visit to Seattle.
You can read more about the event here.

The gals got a tour of my new sewing studio.

It's about 1/3 the size of my old space.

But I'm not complaining!

I feel very fortunate to have a room of my own.

Malti kept me company while I reorganized my fabrics.

So I had plenty of oldies to give to the gals.

I feel the same as you do. It is nice to have a creative space and when I leave be able to shut the door. Your studio looks great, the quilts on the walls I like.

Oh very nice! So neat and organized too. Sounds like a lovely event, I bet Victoria was pleased. I'm really enjoying her book and your quilts and blocks add so much to the eye candy.

Enjoy that lovely new space :0)
Happy Sewing

I saw this event on Rebels -- so much fun!!!
Victoria's book is great & I was pleased to see the quilts of so many of my bloggy friends. I wondered if you all were meeting at your house, thought I recognized your quilts on the walls. A room of one's own -- of any size -- is a gift. I'd love to see yours in person.

Congrats on your lovely new studio . . . sorting/organizing is a lot of work, but it feels SO good to see the results!

Cute studio. I wish I had one. Yea, dog fur on the fabric. My puppies would heartily agree with Malti. Have fun stitching! Lovely quilts on the walls.

Your studio is so inviting. What fun that must have been; I would love to meet Victoria and share her energy and excitement. I am also quite taken with the quilt on your design wall with the plaid border...wish it was on my wall!
