"October Rain"

Here's my first fabric collage with stitching.  It finished at 21" x 24".

I used my free-motion foot and outlined everything with a neutral thread.

Then I big-stitched the background with perle 8 cotton.
That's when I realized the name of this piece was "October Rain."

The stitching on the back makes an interesting design too!

October Rain is the perfect name for this beautiful little quilt! Your stitches are the perfect touch and the backing you used is gorgeous too. I hope you have it hanging where it can be admired.

Love it! This is such a fun and colorful piece.
The big stitch is great and the name is perfect. Is the background linen? The texture is great.

A very happy one, love all the shapes, way of machine stitching and the big handstitches. This must be a very fun way to make a quilt.I knew Freddy tried this method from a book but I never tried it myself yet;)
