Parisian Inspirations

Paris is known for many things, including its sidewalk bistro chairs.
I found them beautiful and inspiring, each with different weaves and color combinations.
Click on the photos if you want to see close-ups.

Patchwork chairs in a hotel lobby.

Some old drapery fabric I bought at a flea market.

The stall and purveyors where I bought the fabric.
A face made of bedspreads and clothes at the Emmaus thrift store.

Yum!

The best inspiration of all!

Brilliant idea for a post. Now I will only be an imitator if I copy you.
And something I see I had not paid enough attention to.

Cafe chair images are fascinating. Although I've been to Paris, that unique detail didn't connect. Love the bedspread art hanging from the thrift store!

Hi LeeAnn, the best french bistro chairs are here :
http://www.drucker.fr/, it's the specialist.

A few years ago I bought a "marble gueridon" the same on your photo where there are three blue chairs !

Friendly !

Of course you found some fantastic fabric! I am always inspired by your eye for color and design. I'll look forward to seeing that fabric in a quilt. Thanks for sharing...

Love all those bistro chairs! What fun! Must be a relatively new "thing", as I don't remember seeing anything like that in Paris oh, probably 9 years ago.

Great fabric! It will be fun to see what you do with it!

Isn't it wonderful to be able to see inspiration everywhere. Oh lovely Paris cafe chairs, I loved them too when I was there, but you've caught the wonderful variety in your collection of photos. The bed spread face is amazing, so very clever!! Great finds at the flea market!!

What a visually inspiring post! Feel rather foolish that I've been to Paris a few times and never noticed the colorful and textural variety in those chairs. Wonderful photos- thank you!

Who knew there were that many sorts of bistro chairs! You've shown us a wonderful array!
Drooling at the idea of a French thrift store & am eager to see your purchases show up in a quilt.
The face is cool but I am intrigued by the geometric thing in the lower right corner.

My goodness! I had no idea...Why don't we have chairs like that?? I was in Paris as a young teenager, but have no recollection of such beautiful objects... how could I have missed them or forgotten them? They are exquisite!

I love the bistro chairs in Paris. I noticed them last year when I was traveling there. Someone should design a fabric line inspired by these them!
