Thanks to
Victoria, I've been playing with my scraps for the last month. Here's what they became, a two-sided wall quilt.
I pulled pieces randomly from my scrap bin, and enjoyed what the "scrap fairy" chose.
One psychological theory says that when a house shows up in a dream, it represents the inner psyche of the dreamer. Hmm.
These are gorgeous. A great way to use up those scraps.
ReplyDeleteHey LeeAnn, There is not one thing about this quilt that is not absolutely fabulous!!! Well done! And as for the crazy quilt? Well I would tell you, "you're not crazy" but I machine appliqued, machine quilted and then put the veins in 300 leaves on a quilt. (I'm not sure how much credibility I have in this situation.)
ReplyDeleteHave a great Day! Happy quilting!
Gorgeous! I can't believe you made it into two quilt. I can't decide which one I like more.. both are equally striking.
ReplyDeleteI love the little girl jumping rope.
I love your houses!...happy and scrappy!

Fabulous!! Summer and winter quilts. Was it scrap fairy or scrap fury???
ReplyDeleteWOW! I love wonky and absolutely love the floral sashing and lovely spin on the wonky theme with the houses. I love the fussy-cut girl and the secret of dreams and houses. Just found you and can't wait to study more!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo fabulous! I love the houses and it's two sidedness! super fun!
ReplyDeleteKeep on dreaming!
ReplyDeleteI saw this on 15minutesplay.com and fell in love. Great quilt! I'm going to have to follow you to see more of this fabric fantastic-ness!
ReplyDeleteYour 2 sided house quilt is delightful! Great job!
ReplyDeleteAs for dreaming of houses, I do so all the time. I have 4 houses that I repeatedly dream of so much, they seem real to me, although they aren't. Usually they are bright and sunny and in good shape, but this last week, they were dark and in need of repair... Me thinks it was a rough week!
Love your "scrap fairy" houses! I can't believe you made a 2-sided quilt - what fun. It is beautiful. Wow, it just goes to show what 15 minutes a day can accomplish - impressive!
