Pojagi!

The current issue of Quiltmania magazine has a great article on Pojagi (or Bojagi), an old textile art from Korea. And I've become obsessed! I had an hour today to make this little bit, with many thanks to Victoria's tutorial at thesillyboodilly. Hers are absolutely stunning. I used some old shirts--one with tucks--and a few shot cottons. It's just a start. We'll see where it goes.

Aren't these beautiful?

  7. p.s. have a book recommendation for you: Quilting, Patchwork and Applique: A World Guide by Caroline Crabtree. It has all sorts of great stuff (inc Pojagi) and right now there are fab prices on it used. I think it's a great price for the new one Amazon is selling

  12. I like pojagi, but how do you preserve the effect if you add batting and backing? Your little piece is beautiful and they look great held up to a window. Are the pictures in the book pojagi too? Bonnie
