Here's what's on my design wall today. |
It will take a while to evolve. |
It's inspired by this quilt in Gwen Marston's Liberated String Quilts book, and one by Sarah Fielke in Material Obsession Two. I'm using the templates from the MO2 book, but not the instructions. |
Remember these? (December 8) I had made them for this quilt, but had lost my courage and tried to find an easier way out. Nothing satisfied me, so I went back to the original plan. |
oooh, I love your new project! are you marking the newspaper triangles in any way to know what goes where, or just winging it?
ReplyDeleteOh my!
ReplyDeleteThis is gonna be another beauty.
You have such great color sense.
Beautiful
Happy sewing
Slowly beginning to understand your suggestions to "think a little more" and "try a little harder." Sometimes takes time to evolve.
ReplyDeleteAnother thought, inspired by your first photos: increase size of blocks to 150% for very dramatic, but different effect.
ReplyDeleteMy Goodness but this does grab my attention......Love it, Love it, Love it.....if I didn't already have a million UFO's I'd get crackin' on one of these babies, no problem.....have fun with it and I will follow....

ReplyDeleteYou know the easy way out is never the right way out.
