Halfway There

I've made 53 blocks out of the 100 I'll need for my queen-size Flowering Snowball quilt!
The more I make, the more I enjoy it.

Actually, I've made several more, but edited out and unpicked many.
The black and gray ones had to go.

You can see lots more beautiful Flowering Snowball quilts here.

My "Spring Equinox" quilt has been hanging at the Edmonds (Washington) Conference Center.
It's been in very good company with some other gorgeous quilts for the last few months.
I can't believe how small it looks on these large walls!  It's queen size.

It's coming down next week, and there will be a fresh collection of quilts there.

This is lunch recently with a friend who has a bountiful organic garden.
Almost too pretty to eat!

Sunset seen from the ferry in the San Juan Islands.

Ah, summer!

Congratulations LeeAnn! It's amazing how small that quilt looks on the wall. Those must be very large walls and high ceilings!I love how perfectly it hangs. The flowering snowball and salad on a plate are both complimenting each other in this post. Love them both.

Congratulations on being halfway there. It's a great that you are still enjoying the process. Your SpringEquinox looks like a mini quilt on the wall, but what a great place to dispay quilts. That salad looks as though it really does have sunshine mixed through it.

Summer salad and Spring Equinox both look happy. I couldn't believe that the quilt is queen size. I'm loving your new quilt's growth as well.

I love that flowering snowball. Each time I see it those blocks call out to my stash. I just can't imagine a wall big enough to make that quilt look small.

I love seeing pictures of your two quilts next to each other, they look very good together! How fun to have Spring Equinox on display, and it must be good to bring it home as well. So much happy summer colors!

It looks amazing so far! 100 curved seam blocks! Yikes.

I can see how black and grey blocks may have seemed like a good idea, but didn't work in practice. I have a similar idea for a project, so I'll have to remember your experience with this one!

Congrats on reaching the half way mark. Your blocks are beautiful. You are a bit of a quilting Pied Piper aren't you? You make all blocks look so enticing! "Spring Equinox" looks amazing at at that scale rather like Venetian glass :)

Lot of sewing done I see. It is looking better indeed the bigger it gets. Beautiful pictures of the salad and sky and of course your quilt hanging that high, funny how it deceives the eye (hope this sentence makes sense).

Hi, Nifty. Just love the flowering snowball blocks--they are so pleasing and it is obvious you've put a lot of time into arranging them to make it all work. Hope you're having a relaxing and creative summer!
