The date today, 10-10-10, is just too good to go without a post. So here's the quilt I've been throwing on my lap lately. All scraps and some leftover 9 patches.
I chain-pieced scraps together, 2 + 2, then 4 + 4, then 8 + 8, until I got to about 18". Then cut strips in 1.5, 2.5, and 4.5 widths by 18" long. When I got tired of making the strips, they magically all fit together! The border is cut from an old shirt.

I love that it looks kind of old fashioned with the house and crumb bits but in modern bright colors. Yowza! Nice work!
Ah - the wonders of magic:) Isn't the green working well just adding that zing. Love it. Ciao

As I was scrolling down through Google Reader, the top of the photo appeared and I immediately thought - Crumbs YES!

Love this quilt! The house seems so peaceful surrounded by the applique wine. The crumbs are like party all around the neighborhood!

The plaid is fab!!! I love how u use the shirts!! Love the scrappiness and yet the uniform house that contrasts, nice balance. May want to enter in this week's weekly themed quilt for Scrappy theme at Quilting Gallery :).
Really wonderful! Love the scrappiness of this, and the blue plaid boarder is fabulous!
What a fun quilt! I also appreciate the description of your process. I find myself with long-ish strips of strips when I'm sewing scraps; now I know what to do with them!
