My very favorite quilts are the mish-mash "string" quilts from years ago. This is my attempt to recreate one of those. It's a group project with the fun gals over at the
15 minutes play blog.
There's nothing better than sitting down and sewing a bunch of scraps together. Each block is 6-1/2".

Looks fabulous!!! these kind of quilts just make my heart sing!
All that color! Love it.
This kind of quilt is my favorite too. I love looking at it and remembering where I used to fabrics. My grandmother would make this kind of quilt out of our old dresses.
I am seriously considering using your block premise to make a quilt out of mostly polka dot prints. I sometimes have a hard time working with large pieces; it would be a growth experience, but what a fun quilt!
Wow! It is looking great!
I am rally loving this quilt. SO happy!
I meant really.
: )
Lively, colorful, fun... and a great dent in the fabric scraps!
It's kind of nice looking at the blocks and recognizing some of the fabrics even though there is only half a "clue" as to which ones they are. Like a eye candy puzzle. A really interesting quilt.
This is just so much fun!! I love all the colors mingled together any way you look at it!!!
That is a real sock in the eye. You must have had a lot of fun with this one!
I love these true scrappy, don't think about it too much, just sew it together quilts. This is a stunner!
