And I made 40 more kite shapes, with 40 more to go. It's a good thing they only take 15 minutes! Meanwhile, I've been opening the mailbox to find the most wonderful vintage fabrics! |
From Brenda in Canada and Marian in Utah |
Marian is Em's mom, and also sent this box of squares. |
From Bonnie in Michigan and Janet in Yukon Territory |
From Theodora in Greece |
From Cheryl in Illinois |
From Rachel in Australia |
From Wanda in Illinois I am constantly amazed by quilt-makers generosity and support. Is it all the sewing that makes you so nice? Or is it that only the nicest people make quilts? |

I agree with Nicky and in her words:
I think birds of a feather flock together and as you are so nice you attract like minded people!
I can't believe the variety of vintage fabrics that you got. What fun that will be with your 2 quilts.
Ditto what Nicky said, plus I think you have to be a good friend to have good friends.
I'm so excited for you on how this quilt is coming together! How big will it be? Every addition of webs and kites just makes it better and better! It's just plain terrific!
Happy Sewing out there where it is still cold and raining.
First, and most importantly, your own generosity is coming back to you ten fold...secondly, if everybody sends you some fabric, they have room to get a little more? xo
I love to share and exchange fabrics, but my limitations are the mailing costs. so if you come see me in Winnipeg, Canada, I'm going to share some more. these fabrics are all a blast from the past. are you going to mix them all togther?
I absolutely love the quilt. I am extremely impressed by the amount of work, and the level of difficulty you have undertaken in this project. I am also very impressed by the level of generosity of other quilters all the time. What a great world to be part of.

Fabulous quilt!!!! I've never done one, but you make me want to put it on my list :).
It's looking great. If you make a few extra blocks, you could make some mini quilts with them.

Have really loved looking around your blog at these fabrics and your quilts. I take my inspiration for my work from textiles, and so this has all been great for me. xCathy
Wow, that spiderweb quilt just blows my mind! It's amazing. And thanks for sharing your progress. It's fun to "watch" it grow.
You have gotten such an incredible amount of vintage fabrics. Who would've guessed there was that much left? And it stuns me how much of it I recognize!
And yes, I believe quilters are just nice people. All of the ones I've met certainly are!
