Paris is known for many things, including its sidewalk bistro chairs.
I found them beautiful and inspiring, each with different weaves and color combinations.

Patchwork chairs in a hotel lobby.
Some old drapery fabric I bought at a flea market.
The stall and purveyors where I bought the fabric.
A face made of bedspreads and clothes at the Emmaus thrift store.

Brilliant idea for a post. Now I will only be an imitator if I copy you.
And something I see I had not paid enough attention to.
Cafe chair images are fascinating. Although I've been to Paris, that unique detail didn't connect. Love the bedspread art hanging from the thrift store!
Hi LeeAnn, the best french bistro chairs are here :
http://www.drucker.fr/, it's the specialist.
A few years ago I bought a "marble gueridon" the same on your photo where there are three blue chairs !
Friendly !
So nice to know that I have company in the Parisian chair category - just loved looking at your collection.
Of course you found some fantastic fabric! I am always inspired by your eye for color and design. I'll look forward to seeing that fabric in a quilt. Thanks for sharing...
Love all those bistro chairs! What fun! Must be a relatively new "thing", as I don't remember seeing anything like that in Paris oh, probably 9 years ago.
Great fabric! It will be fun to see what you do with it!
Isn't it wonderful to be able to see inspiration everywhere. Oh lovely Paris cafe chairs, I loved them too when I was there, but you've caught the wonderful variety in your collection of photos. The bed spread face is amazing, so very clever!! Great finds at the flea market!!
My head is spinning, thank you very much! Looks like an amazing place to visit!
What a visually inspiring post! Feel rather foolish that I've been to Paris a few times and never noticed the colorful and textural variety in those chairs. Wonderful photos- thank you!
P.S. Hope these shots mean we can all look forward to an upcoming "Cafe Chairs Quilt"...
It inspires me to want to go to Paris!! I'm trying to figure out if I could stuff those patchwork chairs into my luggage....hmmm. LOL
bistro chairs are nice, but i prefer the patchwork ones !
So nice to rummage through all the thrift shops and stands. Have a great time!
Who knew there were that many sorts of bistro chairs! You've shown us a wonderful array!
Drooling at the idea of a French thrift store & am eager to see your purchases show up in a quilt.
The face is cool but I am intrigued by the geometric thing in the lower right corner.
Wow is everything just more beautiful in Paris? I think so. I love the woven bistro chairs and those lobby chairs too! Seems like inspiration is everywhere.
Can't wait to see how you use your flea market fabric.
all I can say is oui oui
So much fun! LeeAnn, I bet you wanted a machine and few scraps right there and then! I want to see that fabric!!! I am sure it will make something beautiful!
The chairs are fantastic! Who knew? Can't wait to see the quilt they inspire :)

You definitely have an eye to catch what is interesting LeeAnn! I have seen these woven chairs since a child and did not realize how many different kinds there are!
I feel like all those chair photos need to be a poster! :D We've been to Paris a couple of times and boy have those chair designs become more elaborate! Just beautiful!
My goodness! I had no idea...Why don't we have chairs like that?? I was in Paris as a young teenager, but have no recollection of such beautiful objects... how could I have missed them or forgotten them? They are exquisite!
I love the bistro chairs in Paris. I noticed them last year when I was traveling there. Someone should design a fabric line inspired by these them!
Very great post...so love the chairs...
Very cool pictures! I love all the different patterns on the chairs.
