Caught in the Spider Web

Just 8 more webs to go, plus about 100 scrappy kites!

Meanwhile, I've been receiving the most wonderful vintage fabrics from fellow collectors and blog friends.

These are from Julie.  They were quilt backs and a pin cushion that belonged to her grandmother!

These are from Hilda

These came from Cheryl.

These are from Victoria

These are from the Rebels.

These came from Sharon, Patty and Beth--who included some lovely Dresden plates!

                                  Thank you so much!!!
Once the Spider Web lets me go, I look forward to making these into two quilts!

Your spider web quilt is sooo wonderful!!! It's fun seeing all those lovely vintage fabrics. Mine must be still on the way. I think the postal service has sent a kangaroo to deliver them. :)

Spider Web is spectacular! And those fabrics are great. How hard is to have all those fabrics waiting? A good motivator to finish the webs!

Have you gotten brave and tried stitching a web together with a set of kites?

SO beautiful!! From the thumbnail of your main image it looks like the webs are sitting on a fading background, which would be lovely too.

Hi, LeeAnn. I hate to say this, but I like your spiderweb quilt the way it is with the gray spaces. However, I know it will turn out marvelous filled in too.

Wow, that spiderweb is looking gorgeous!

Isn't it amazing how many vintage fabrics are still around? You're showing admirable restraint!

I am astonished by the illusion of your spiderwebs floating on your kite background. What a delightful surprise! I could look at this quilt forever.

I have been DREAMING about this quilt since I first saw it -- I've have it fairly figured out, paperpiecing style to get those rings done perfectly. This is the kind of quilt that PULLS me into making it! Thanks for great photos and great inspiration.
